Growing customer interest underscores relevance of this new production technology. PLAZAMEDIA is expanding its service portfolio to also offer customers productions in 4K with ultra-high definition images. To this end, PLAZAMEDIA has begun operating “4K suites” which, with their sophisticated editing technology, round off the company´s infrastructure for 4K productions. PLAZAMEDIA takes on premium content distribution services for Sportradar to sports betting platformsIsmaning, 7 October 2015. PLAZAMEDIA takes on content distribution and streaming services for live images of international sporting events and leagues for Sportradar. The company is responsible for distributing live content to Sportradar distribution channels as well as in parts for satellite downlinks and streaming. The live images of various sporting events distributed by Sportradar will be included on sports betting platforms as additional entertainment components complementary to the betting options available. PLAZAMEDIA distributes signals for Sportradar as HTTP live streams (HLS), ensuring that images are displayed on recipient devices across all operating systems. In order to keep time delay to a minimum when streaming, a Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) is also used. This uses the internet to transfer the data from a media service to a Flash player, via a constant connection. PLAZAMEDIA therefore ensures that customers of betting platforms that are being provided with content by Sportradar are always able to track current images without a perceptible time delay in split screen also when using live betting. Comprehensive tracking analysis, optimum protection of the content signal and extended support to provide fast response times complete the services.
